Show vegan customers they're welcome here
An honest review of your venue from a vegan's point of view, with practical feedback and a badge to show customers when you've earned it.
Two levels of recognition
Every review measures your venue against the Vegan Customer Standard. Venues that reach one of the top two levels receive a badge for their website, menus and social media.
Vegan Welcome
Vegan customers are well looked after here.
- Real choice, with at least two vegan mains
- Clear labelling on every menu
- Fair pricing, with no plant milk surcharge
- A team who know the answers
Vegan Champion
The kind of place vegans tell their friends about.
- Everything at Vegan Welcome, done consistently well
- Vegan dishes good enough that non-vegans order them too
- Honest, confident answers about the kitchen
- Vegan options across sides, desserts and drinks
The Standard has four levels: vegan-tolerant, vegan-aware, vegan welcome and vegan champion. Not sure where you sit? Take the two-minute venue check.

Frequently asked questions
Here are the questions venue owners ask most about Vegan Champion reviews.
How much does a review cost?
Get in touch using the form and Naomi will talk you through the options for your venue.
Do you visit in person?
Every review covers your menus, website and online listings. Where we can, we also visit as an ordinary customer, so we see exactly what your vegan customers see.
What if we don't reach a badge level?
You still get your full report, with clear, practical steps to get there. Most of the changes are small and low-cost, and you can ask for a fresh review once you've made them.
How long does a badge last?
Badges show the year they were awarded and last for 12 months. After that, a quick re-review keeps your badge current.
Is this a food safety or allergen certification?
No. The review looks at how well you welcome vegan customers. It doesn't assess food hygiene or allergen safety, which stay your responsibility under your normal food safety procedures.
Can fully vegan venues apply?
Yes. Fully vegan cafés, restaurants and pubs are very welcome, and many will go straight to Vegan Champion.
